The earth is smiling to us when it is spring with all its beauty. For me this is a source of joy and creates a smile on my face. This is the blossom of a cherry tree that I met last week in the south of the Netherlands. It was such a delight to witness the abundance and to smell the flowers. For two years ago, I was picking delicious cherries from this beautiful tree.

It has been a while since I was online. R-emegrating to the Netherlands with my family during a pandemic, starting a new job at the Top Referent Trauma Center GGZ Beilen, and starting up my business ESTAR in the Netherlands was enough to deal with last months. Yet, in synchrony with nature waking up from winter, I feel now a strong impulse to give an update as well to announce a second round for the workshops that took place last fall.

Practice Estar
It has been a journey so far to give form to my practice, first in Sweden, and now in the Netherlands. I discover that the form is continuously evolving and goes hand in hand with my own process. Working on the edge of the unknown, where science and the mystical meet is a true adventure with its challenges but is certainly also fulfilling. Trusting the process and my process is something I am learning and deepening on many layers.

I am contemplating and orienting what I want to offer within my practice. Moving countries also gives an opportunity to reflect on,learn from and experience new perspectives.
Currently, I am mostly teaching. Teaching, sharing different frames of reference within science, biology, psychology, medicine/psychiatry and spirituality and how it could possibly be integrated is really fun and gives me a lot of joy. This is a creative process, or better said a co-creative process together with the students/participants. This means that each workshop, (teaching) session or lecture has its own unique atmosphere and quality. I feel so enriched by this and learn from every meeting.
At the moment I am only offering online (one to one) sessions within my practice. Also, I made a choice to not prescribe medication in my private practice ESTAR. This feels most aligned at the moment.

Workshops
Fall 2020, I offered a three workshop serie ''raising children from a whole brain, polyvagal and intergenerational perspective''. Participants where very positive and I got the question to repeat this serie. Also, some participants suggested that it would be interesting to talk about adult attachment.

I am considering to offer the workshops again in June-July-August

  • Workshop 1: raising children from a whole brain perspective, with information on the neurobiology of attachment and trauma sensitive (or better resilience sensitive) parenting
  • Workshop 2: Looking at bonding and attachment through the lens of the polyvagal theory
  • Workshop 3: Intergenerational trauma and resilience
  • Workshop 4: adult attachment: how does child attachment affect our adult relationships and the way we interact with people?

WORKSHOP SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE) and HEALING
I am thinking of organizing a physical workshop to teach some basic principles of SE and therapeutic tools. These tools you can apply to self-regulate and/or when you work with clients. This workshop would be taking place in Haren or Groningen.

What I need to know:
